Unknown Reel

Photo of foot would be quite useful, but regardless I expect your reel "frame" style is a near duplicate of an Abbey/Imbrie Lakeside reel.
Check the foot frame for two 3/16"holes. Then measue the pilliar dia. Expect this will be 0.160". Is the reel magnetic, or plated brass? Both the Headplate ,Tailplate, and both pillars are probably plated brass, but everything else is magnetic.
Also noted that the view shows two unused pillar locations also same as on the Lakeside. Cannot make out the imprint on the headplate inner frame. Probably the name assigned by the mfg consigner.
A distraction from this being an A/I is the large Oil Cap. This is contrary to the A/I as I have seen none with an Oil Cap. Maybe other can respond here.
The Lakeside has a front view of the same "head" on the fisherman that is on your reel shown the back of the head.
If all this info makes sense, then who ever made the Lakeside was probably the maker of your reel. Abbey/Imbrie is my guess with this limited info.
If the holes are't there we need to start over with more photos. Hope this helps.
Regards, Dale.

Bob,
After viewing the photos you sent me which shows the two holes in the foot, the identical tailplate construction view, and identical headplate rim design,I am quite convinced that you have a hybrid Abbey/Imbrie reel - just like the Lakeside with different spindle setup and drag nob system.
Don't know if A/I was mfg since the jewel spool cap looks like it could be made by Ocean City, Bronson, or Shakespeare, or maybe even Red River. If the spool caps fits one of these mfg threads, it could change my opinion on mfg, but not design. I would ID your reel design as Abbey/Imbrie.
Does anyone else has input for this reel?
The Lakeside reel is shown in K White 122-9177.
Hope this helps. Dale.

Dale-
Thanks for all your input. You are the only one to supply info about the reel. I've found it quite interesting. I'm fascinated with the ins and outs of the different reels. It wouldn't take much to get me involved in collecting them. I have too many hobbies already but still it is tempting..
Thanks again, Bob.

Bob,
I vote for 'Great Lakes Mfg Co.", Detriot Mich.
The click button and what I can see of the foot look like it. They engraved some of their reels also. A good picture of the head plate would also help.
Better make room in the basement! You are already hooked!

EDIT:
Bob,
After seeing the other pictures, I changed my mind! I don't know who made that reel. Sorry for opening my mouth before putting my mind in gear!
