ALASKA 2018
Another great fishing experience at Joe Connor's Big Sky Fish Camp in Sterling Alaska on the Kenai River. Great fun with Dean Smith, Joe Connors, Terry Ow and Steve Starrantino, formerly of Crossroads Angling Auctions and now retired in the Philippines. We fished the Kenai River and then trailed a boat to Seward for a little Coho fishing in Resurrection Bay. Halibut, king brab legs, salmon antique reels and good friends, who could ask for more. If fishing for salmon and trout in Alaska is on your bucket list, talk with Joe, he has been in Alaska since 1970 and his operation is the best on the Kenai River.

Re: ALASKA 2018
Steve,
I had the ruffled shirt, red pantaloons and white silk stockings on underneath the attire you see in the photos for additional warmth. I left the buckle shoes at home, have you ever tried to buckle your shoes with three pairs of wool socks on?
You should see my big game fishing get-up.

Ed, such dapperness! I usually use much lighter tackle in my living room...but you're more optimistic than I am.

I guess the next time you say "Hey Dean, want me to take a picture of you with your fish" I should say yes.
My favorite week of the year. Can't beat the company or the setting.

Great photos of a bunch of good guys including my old pal, Terry Ow! Thanks for posting, Ed. (Dean- your beard looks quite Hemingway-esque.)

Looks like quite a motley crew to me, especially that "DUDE" on the right , and clearly a good time had by all.
Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)
