Harvy made a visit to the (RAT HOLE)

Post by SWIM JIG »

:D 8) :!: :?:  cool-thumb USA Today was a day that will long be remembered! Mr. shakespere, Mr Harvy Garrision paid (The Rat HOLE ) a visit, ever notice when good company is aroud hrs become seconds? We talked, we joked we descused the ORCA NationalsComing up in NEW YORK< and as always time does fly! We took pictures, he studied some factory Blue Prints on Shaespere items I have, I never find myself wanting for imformation Harvy has stored in his head, and yes we both learn from each other! I cetainly hope he writes a book on Shakespere reels and materials, he saw things he never saw before took pics of it, and also recoded it in his memory! We talked about screw threads, bearing caps, phony so called like new reels that have been replated, and all the other shister tricks used to phony up reels! Folks for those of you that have never met Harvy, its a must do thing to put on your list to do! And as for true ORCA,n he lives for our CLUB, and his best trait? He enjoys PEOPLE! There will never be another Harvy Garrision, and for those of us that know him, well its momrnts that will stay with us! Honesty? he cannot be BOUGHT! he wants it trurthfull NO falsehoods, willing to share his knowledge? folks its beyond anythiny we can imagine! He went back to Cincnnati tonight, as he promised his grandson to spend a day with him, and will take his time going back to Florida , To all of you
, never be afraid to ask Harvy a QUESTION, as he enjoys your questions! Your ohio Conection on Lake ERIE Col. M. Lorens aka SWIM JIG

Milt: A special person as you say. Met Harvey at NFLCC. Maybe he will come thru Tennessee on way home to Florida.

Harvey: Just take Rt 75 and stop at exit 81 south of Knoxville, if you have a few hrs. or if you need a night to rest. Live only a few miles from exit. You need to see the Tellico and Fort Loudon lakes while your in this land. Mary Jane said she would make a cake if you can stopover.

Give me a call. Dale (Don) or whatever. Tel: 865-458-004, or cell 865-406-3734.

Milt: I guess it's time we told you the truth. That wasn't Harvey - it was Laurie Bingham in drag.

:D 8) :!: :?:  cool-thumb :type: yay-banana USA Phil, only 2 people have ever laid eyes on a those actual factory Blue Prints I have of Shakespere items, one is DON CHAMPION amd the OTHER is Harvy Garrison! As for the NEW YORK gal, its doubtfull she knows anything about Shakespers except they are fishing reels! She does Know her BRASS REELS NEW YORK MADE! Just the oppisite for Harvy, I still think Harvy was a very long employee of Shakespere, say around 1903? As for you Phil, you can visit the RAT HOLE anytime, I will lay out a bunch of MESSABACH reels for you! ah! life is GOOD! Now just for that, Next year at tax time I am going to tell the IRS that you are a expert on Values and have wrote books on the subject, and that you need to count and place a value on these reels of mine! That will keep you busy for at least 7 months! I quit counting at 10,000 of them HA HA, Then You can Count and value Mike Wohlervers reels! ha ha ho , and the fun begins! On a serious side, I do belive Harvy , Ryan and I coud have spent a month talking about reels, and the way they are and were made! I just hope and trust after the nationals at Like Georgehe will stay a few days before he goes to cicinatta to vist his daughter and granchildren< You can be certain of one thing we will put the boat in the water and chase those marble eyes called walleyes! Well its back to work, as the reels are calling , CLEAN ME,and the-chatercapts, are running the phone off the desk asking where are reels! Your Ohio Conection on Lake ERIE Col. M. Lorens aka SWIM JIG
