A gentleman had asked me about a reel picture he had posted on this board. I hope that you see this.
This company existed between 1902-1907 and was located at 191 Portage Ave. It was owned by R. Nunn. That is it for what I have about this company, so I suggest that this was a short lived venture, given that Lk. Winnipeg is close by, otherwise this would have been far from most larger fishing markets at the time. I hope this helps in some small way.
If by chance you would be interested in selling or trading this reel, I am interested.
Regards

Thanks
Thanks Outtie61,
The Indiana style reel picture I posted, marked Bicycle Sales Co, WPG., was assigned a patent in Canada in 1923, to AUGUST JOHN BUKOSKE. The smaller round reel I pictured may be a product of the earlier company address. Anything on the 1923 Bicycle company?
Thanks!
Jim S

Re: Winnipeg Bicycle Company
It has been a long, long time since the last post on this subject. I finally managed to land one of these Master Casting Reels by Bicylce Sales Co., Winnipeg. It needs a bed bath but it's a nice add to my Canadian reel collection as well as my small accumulation of Indiana style reels. It is a little smaller than I imagined.
