This Abu Ambassadeur was one of the reels that Oscar Kovalovsky owned. There is a dizzying amount of information on the web regarding Ambassadeurs, but this particular one seems to be special. Other than a sold listing on eBay (read with a grain of salt) that indicated it was made for only one year, 1962, I can't find much else about this model. What makes it unusual is the crank handle nut. Other than some rash, mechanically it spins just as you would expect from one of these Swedish reels. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It was only made in '62 and considered one of the rarer, if not rarest, smaller Ambassadeurs. The drag is unique to that reel because it slips on the handle and that nut is the adjuster.
Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)

Condition is, as with all collectable reels, very important when determining the value. Your 2500 seems to have a fair bit of chipping around the rims. Value +/- US$300. However, it all depends on who wants it when offered for sale.
