I’ve started a project to mount most of my vintage fly reels on period rod handles. I’m only interested in the rod butt and reel seat/handle section. This makes displaying them much easier than when mounted on a 9’ rod. I’ve done this with some of my tournament casting reels and the look is pretty cool.
I prefer the reel seat of the rod handle to be stamped/marked with the name of a classic circa 1890-1910 maker like Chubb, Leonard, Orvis, etc. made from bamboo, lancewood, etc.
Let me know what you have and your asking price, please. Thanks.
