Bronson 500

Post by mark bumgarner »

WTB Have pretty nice old Bronson Modern 500 and am needing carriage and line guide. The carriage screw is intact. Looked on ebay but most of the 100's and 500's on line are missing same parts.

Crappie hitting and mushrooms up. Great time of year!

Welcome, Mark. Good to see you here. The carriage was made of a composite material, rather than metal, if my memory serves. Many of them failed and basically cracked or disintegrated, which is why you see so many missing on those Modern models. I've tried, without success, to use a replacement metal carriage and line guide from other Bronson models. I'll look through my parts bins but I doubt I have an original.

Thanks Mark, I have a 100 intact and it looks to be the same part . I was hoping to get this together and send you some photos for the bronson site.
