Back in the game!

Post by kevinhaney1 »

The below was caught today on my 120 year old greenheart rod, wooden Nottingham reel, and silk fly line. Even though it is just a small bluegill, it feels great to get an antique rod and reel back in the game when it probably hasn't been fished in 75 years!

In the mountains of Maryland, an 8" brook trout would be about the best you could expect...

Fantastic good to see old tackle being used.

A nice Nottingham reel made by one of the Birmingham based makers I think.
