Salmonfishing in Norway (3 generations)

Post by Jacob : salmonfisher03 »

Back again from a wonderful trip - this year my father was fit again to join us.
We fished the river Stjördal in Norway, which we have done many times, but this year were special.
As we arrived the river was running with 39 m3 and when we left one week later, the river was up with 424 m3
I have never seen so much water before.

Me fighting a small salmon.

My tackle that was used for the week, Bogdan and Engelbrekt reel mounted on G. Loomis rods :fished

Making our dinner at the river bank.

Tania my wife is taking good care of the food

and finally the gourmet food was ready - a hot dog with this wonderful view, can't be better 8)

My father fishing in front of our hut, the river is running with 39 m3

Same place as were my father was fishing a few days before - now the river is up with 424 m3

And when fishing is unpossible, then we drive to the local tackle shop - power shopping

And the 3 generation picture, my father, my son and I.

The week for 2021 is already reserved, so we have already started to look forward to that.

Jacob— It’s great to see such a family fishing trip. The hot dogs on the grille looked delicious, but that tackle shop with the Hardy section looked downright scrumptious. Thanks for posting.

PS
A map with a pin location of the town would be cool to see.

Jacob, when you get a minute could you indicate the area of Norway that you fish? I find that part of the world very interesting as my ancestors were from the nearby Baltic Sea area. Thanks.

Hi Mike
I fish in the Trondheim area. Many of the best salmon rivers are in that area.
Norway is such a beautiful country.
