Painted in 1880 by Banbridge Bishop, this has to be the earliest artistic rendering of the Orvis patent 1874 fly reel. The AMFF noted, “ With Bishop’s passion for design, it is clear why he would choose to feature the 1874 Orvis reel in this still life.”
