Just wondering, is there a good book or website on these reels ?
I'm looking for history, different types (with pictures), etc
I have a few what I think are Hendryx, just not sure, I have colse to zero knowledge on these. The only inscription I can find is a number under the reelfoot (I was told this is the number of yards it can contain, something like the reelsize). The ones I have are not as sophisticated as the ones on your picture and they have a brass-like finish (or is this copper ?).
I'll make some pictures and post them here, perhaps you can make something out of it. I don't really collect them, but they make a nice addition to some misc. old stuff I have displayed (together with some bobbers, bait tins, etc).
