Hendryx 60 bait caster brass screws

Post by corbo »

Added this little guy to my nifty fifty little Hendryx RP group. $100 now in house, buy it now, question asked as to yd mark, to which he responded, and most I have spent as appeared outstanding. Received and tickled pink until next AM.....screw missing on back foot. Reel is beautiful, non plated brass and rubber.
Seller has 12K transactions @ 99.6% positive. The photos in the ad had one where the back plate and reel seat screw was held in hand and concealed by his index finger. I thought little of it and proceeded.
A bit perturbed, I sent a message to which he has not responded. I had left a positive Ebay rating which I'll not change. Needless he is blocked. I should have known better.
Need a couple brass, not plated screws (I have them) for a 60. Thank you. Corbo

I see what appears to be remnants of nickel plating as indicated below. Maybe just shadow in the picture or perhaps the original nickel-finish was stripped. Look with your own eyes.

I appreciate your appraisal Paul. I looked and do not see nickel anywhere. However, if it has been stripped, someone did a very good job. I can do that with the screws I have, and done deal. How is the removal of nickel plating accomplished? Thank you. Rookie Corbin.

Googled it. I'll figure it out, thanks Paul.
