Just got a Valiant 1909 spincast reel. The spinner head will not stay forward when I press the thumb button.
I removed the spinner head and the spool. Removed the side plates and swabbed out the old grease.
I never removed the shaft or gears, so I am not sure what could be the cause. Sorry, no pictures, as I have no camera.
All works fine upon reassembly, except for the spinner head issue. Thanks for looking .
