ID Needed - Uncommon HR Raised Pillar 100 yd

Post by desertangler »

Hi Everyone,
Can anyone help with ID on this one? I bought it a couple of years ago and finally got around to repairing it. It had a very bent foot and a worn out clicker. Because the hard rubber plates are peened and I didn't want to try to remove them to fix the pawl, I repaired the clicker by using a plastic shim under the pawl. Foot is marked "100" yards and "Patent Applied For."

Thanks!

George

Very neat reel. I've seen ones like it a few times. Still no idea who made them.

The foot says Montague, but the similarity ends there. I hate to blame everything on Malleson, but maybe ???

Thanks Dean. I agree, the foot is Montague-like, although the sides seem to be a little wider than typical. I think I have seen this foot style discussed in the past, but I don't recall the details. Any idea what the "patent applied for" might be referring to?

Cheers,

George
