“The tackle exhibit included Henshall’s collection of Kentucky reels, supplemented with borrowed reels made by the Snyders, the Meeks, the Milams, Hardman, Sage, and others. The ultimate fate of his collection remains an intriguing source of speculation by modern collectors.”

I would wildly speculate that the ultimate fate of his collection is that it ended up at Ron Gast's house!

Having been to Ron’s house, that was my first thought, too. But in an email to Ron just after I posted this, he replied with a half-hearted “I wish.”
