New Limited Edition ORCA Christmas Ornament on eBay

Post by RonG »

For the first time ever, the ORCA 2020 Limited Edition Christmas Ornament is being offered. It is in brand new condition. This wonderful Christmas ornament was designed and manufactured by our very own club member Jason Dennis. There were only 2 made and there won't be any more. The ornament is made of aluminum, measures about 0.125 inches thick and 2 1/2 inches in diameter away from the pillar tabs. Remember, your winning bid goes to supporting ORCA. Ornaments are signed by Jason and numbered. See eBay links below for the two ornaments.

Jason is going to be another John Elder only on a smaller scale of reels. Great work Jason and thank you for your donation to ORCA.

Jason sent an additional photo of the ORCA Christmas ornament showing the rear side. It is signed by Jason and given the limited edition number.

Great ornaments, Jason. Thank you for donating to ORCA. How about posting one of your tiny fly reels for auction, too? ;-

Betty,
You better get one of these so you have the complete set.

Richard,
The tiny reels need some improvement but I will at some point.

It was a fun project. I learned a lot about designing vector graphics as I had to redraw that logo on the computer. I've since improved it with more detail in the little KY reel.

Here's a 1hr 45 minutes process consolidated into a 7 min time lapse of it being made for those who like watching machines run.

Very cool, Jason. Learning how to run a machine like that is a neat skill to acquire. Thanks for sharing the video and the ornaments .

Unbelievable, Jason! That video was fun to watch. Amazing how manufacturing processes have evolved. I have 4 Hermes engraving machines out of Lewis Kovalovsky's garage I'd sell you cheap!

Superglue! When i'm done I just put a torch to it and the glue releases.
