Reel display case lighting

Post by Mike N »

I would like to add some tiny LED lighting to the interior of my reel display cases. Preferably something a few inches long that runs on a small wafer-style battery. Anyone have any suggestions? I can’t seem to find anything on line.

Thanks.

No experience with them, but one option.

Thanks, Dean. I ordered two of the bright white in 8” and they came with free shipping and a 10% first time buyers discount. I’ll post a photo when they come in and are installed. I’m hoping it will work out since you can leave it on “continuous lighting” or motion detector mode at a tackle show.

I would be interested in how they work. I have often thought about the same, but didn't want to rely on batteries. It would be great for shows though.

The picture of the lighting was kinda terrible. Just thought I would show how nicely the Tape or Tube Led lit the reels up. My local electric supply house has the Tape, wiring and transformer in stock. That amazes me because the only thing you can usually get in Cambridge, MD is a speeding ticket ! Doug

Well, the lights that Dean recommended arrived today. I ordered two 8” bright white. Both came with a charging cord similar to a cell phone and two magnets which attach to the light on one side, with a peel off adhesive on the other side which attaches to the display case.

I put one light in an upright case and one in a flat table top case. Both are excellent, and I would highly recommend them.

Mike - I have a similar light set up, love the magnets to hold them in place. I used them in traveling showcases and appreciate that they can be quickly and easily removed for transport. I also have a remote control for them, which was great to use while at the 2019 NFLCC show in Albany, NY. When someone would approach my table I turned the lights on from anywhere in the room. Made it look like they were motion sensors.
