I picked up this reel today and would like to get some type of value. It's a Shakespeare Tournament 1743, 100 yd., nlw with jeweled end caps, not sure on the grading yet but everything works and no major scrathes and nothing is dented up, I think it will clean up pretty nice. Lawsons has one listed that was a 8/9 for $150, is this close or out of line? thanks. Mike

Alrighty then...
Mike,
Reel has German Silver posts, screws, end caps and handle nut. Model number will tell you the year that particular version was introduced. With riveted handle knobs, it's probably early 1920s or newer. I usually value these guys around $100 - $150 + depending on age and condition.
