Local Frankfort ky. sauger fishing.

Post by johnhackett »

Over here in Frankfort Ky. is some of the best ever Sauger fishing that the good ol Kentucky river has to offer. Jigging that old 3/8 oz.silver blade bait over humps of rock below the locks and dams will get you some of the best action you could ever ask for. And now is the time , so just bundle up and get busy jigging. John Hackett.

John, are you on the Kentucky River somewhere? Fishing a Silver Buddy perhaps? That is a fine jigging rig.

Yes As the crow flies im probably a quarter of a mile away and just down the road from me is where Elkhorn creek empties into the Kentucky river. There some good ol holes in the pool between lock 4 and lock 3 . And yes I'm fishing the ol silver buddy. I make my own due to the fact they have a history of getting hung up when jigging that close to the bottom. I call mine that I make Silver Bubba's.
