Pflueger “Trade” Reel
Is there a difference between a Pflueger Trade Nobby and a Pluwger Nobby? Potential quality differences?

Re: Pflueger “Trade” Reel
I would assume the only difference is seller's marque on the reel.

Re: Pflueger “Trade” Reel
That's what I was wondering. ...
EDIT: Oh... I see... The word Trademark is broken into Trade and Mark to fit them in. Probably different model years. Thanks, Mark, for getting me to look a little closer! Doh! Mods can delete this thread if they wish.

Thanks, Alan. "Trade Mark" to "Trade-Mark" to "Trademark" I suppose.

It was 4th partner Conover's idea - Rev-O-Noc was his name reversed.
Alan, thanks for posting that - the pocket knife is HSB&Co Diamond brand - I also have some Rev-O-Noc nesting camp cups and a belt-hook bait tin.
Dr. Todd did a great series of articles on hardware store marques. I've had some pretty cool ones pass through my hands, including a Whittemore Sterling Pflueger trade reel.

Also right after WWII, all the hardware stores sold some really great Solingen knives - my modest knife collection has mint Simmon's Hornet and this smart Shapleigh's utility

Alan, I don't even have an OVB bicycle yet...Alan Baracco wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 6:34 pm Ron,
You have a ways to go on your Rev-o-noc collection, Hibbard used it on a myriad of products.
The telephone would look good on your reel room wall.

Alan, the problem with collecting HSB&Co, you would need to displace every item in your house, unless you had a warehouse for it somewhere.
that would be like collecting Sears.
