Ron Popeil has passed.

Post by Jason »

Ron Popeil, an infomercial icon known for promoting products like the Pocket Fisherman, has died at the age of 86.

I wonder how many of those were produced and how many different colors they came in? I had one when i was a kid. If i remember correctly, it worked well.

I didn't have one, but I remember the commercials...on ALL 3 channels! He was ahead of his time in the marketing world.

I just saw this sad news and recalled that in ORCA’s first Reel News in January 1990 I mentioned the Popeil Pocket Fisherman.
