New Member-TexasJim

Post by TexasJim »

Old, retireded sailor, musician, kayaker and fisherman, on the Texas Riviera(Rockport). I'm currently re-furbing a Shakespeare 2052. I got some old reels from my neighbor/fishing buddy's widow. All his stuff, and some from her first late husband. I have a 50-year-old Abu Sweden Ambassadeur 5000, a Dam Quick round baitcaster, the Shakespeare 2052, an old Hawthorne(Wards?) automatic fly reel, and some other odd stuff. Ron Mc here is an acquaintance and sometimes fishing buddy. Like Minnie Pearl said, "I'm proud to be here!" And alive. TexasJim was my musician stage name in the Caribbean for twenty-five years. I'll try to be a good citizen here.

Welcome, TexasJim. Glad to have you on board. A Texan who spent 25 years in the Caribbean? All I can say is we have to get you to a national convention just to hear those stories. Hope you enjoy the ORCA Reel Talk board.
