A family friend, Nick Battista, caught this 27.75”, 7 lb. 14 oz. walleye on the Ohio River today near Weirton, WV. The big fish was caught on a 4” Keitech easy shiner using a 1/4 oz. Jig.

Yes, I believe he was fishing from the shore although he also uses a kayak. The fish was released and swam off strong. Estimated age is 10 years.
