You might want to post a few photos of the reel, box and, if there is any, paperwork, for authentication as they are pretty scarce.

You can read about them here.

The previous owner thought the reel was a Coxe because foot says 30-C, now I'm thinking that it may be the right reel since no mention of Coxe on box or reel- could they have shared the same foot?

Looks pretty convincing to my amateurish eyes.

Robert Ellis would have been astounded when seeing that combo.

Mark should be along shortly to comment. He put an awful lot of work into the Bronson reel section and is well versed on Bronson history.

Bronson produced a Model 30-C under the J.A. Coxe brand. I don't know the dimensions of the Crusader 30 vs. the Coxe 30-C, but my initial suspicion would be that a Coxe 30-C foot ended up installed on a Crusader 30. Could have happened at the factory or as part of a fisherman's repair. All that being said, if the dimensions don't match up, my theory is dead wrong.
