Tackle Show Etiquette Question
Tackle Show Etiquette Question
I set up at a local antiques fair today and was interested in what ORCA members thought about this…

Re: Tackle Show Etiquette Question
If it’s on the table I pick it up unless there is a sign or something.

Re: Tackle Show Etiquette Question
I ask if i don’t know the vendor or if i think they would care. I never pick up things if seller not there.

Re: Tackle Show Etiquette Question
The questionnaire could be worded a little better in my opinion. In my view if it's in a case it's really not on the table and fair game so I would ask. If it's out in the open with a price tag I would examine it if I was interested in buying it. If I was interested in the reel but not in buying it I would ask to handle it.
Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)

Re: Tackle Show Etiquette Question
Much like a gun show ,if it’s of greater value,or whole gun I politely ask if I can handle it,if there’s a pile of jumbled parts or items,I’ll assume it’s ok to pick through them,if there’s a row of nicely maintained Senators I would ask,if there’s a milk crate of “stuff” with a few reels mixed in I’ll assume pick through!

Like Shootrj, I guess I’d judge the scene.

Final poll results.
240 page views and only 20 participants but probably a good representative sample.
Thanks for participating.
