A little help please with reel ID

Post by Dustnstuff »

Most reel collectors know the trademarks of the famous reel makers like the Vom Hofe hole.
Here's one I need your help with.2 1/2" brass with no makers mark, just an interesting grove or channel
on the inside part of the reel foot. Could that be enough to ID this reel? I sure hope so.

It may have been made in the same unknown shop as this one:

The pic is someone else's that I downloaded years ago, maybe from ebay.

Paul Brammer posted pics of a grooved-foot reel this morning on Facebook. With his permission, I'm posting a few here. Someone suggested the reel is Scottish.

Thanks Steve for looking. No luck so far, but the research goes on.
Still looking for the answer to the "TS" or "ST" logo.

Sorry. Different post. The TS logo was another post from a few months ago.
I should not have used it on this post.
Just trying to get the most amount of members to get involved. The more we ask,
the more we learn, and I need to learn a lot. My bad. Just turned 80 and the brain slows down.
Heck, everything slows down.

Sorry to bring this up again, but does anyone have an Eaton & Deller reel in their collection with this
type of inner foot grove?
Thanks
