Edward vom Hofe - 750- Islamorada No.1

Post by reeltackle »

I recently came across this Edward vom Hofe 750 Islamorada quick take-a-part reel in the No.1 size. According to Ted Bingham's book the reel was made from 1940 to 1942. My reel is marked K-42 which would indicate it was made in 1944.

This is the very first EvH 750 Islamorada take-apart reel I have seen in my 38 years of collecting. I have seen and owned a handful of the 650 non-take-a-part version of the Islamorada reel. I was wondering if anyone currently owns, or knows of another 750 take-a-part or, for that matter, non-take-a-part Islamorada reel marked 750. If so please post a picture or just let me know - Thank you - Ed
