Ran across this and thought it was remarkable, first that this poor gentleman had to send in a defective product four times, and second, that Shakespeare owned up to its mistakes. Plus it's a lovely letterhed!

Who wrote the letter? Just curious how high up the ladder it went.
It sounds like the the customer didn’t know how to fit the blade into the handle, and msybe there was nothing wrong with the rod?
Funny too how the rod arrived and was returned before the letter arrived.
