Reel ID HELP

Post by mark bumgarner »

This reel was listed on e-bay as a Bronson model so I just had to investigate, just can't find listing for such a reel.
There is a V.L.&A. prototype listed in the Bronson trade reel section of the Bronson Home Page, it has similar oil caps and crank nut but they have coin knurling and these are rimmed. This rimmed oil cap also shows up on the H-I Caster, made by Bronson after the war, and also on the True Temper Lakeland 125, as well as their regular line up Flyer. The double row knurling on the head cap edge is also seen on the Bronson made Packard model 3517E. I have not found any other reel with the same engraved fishing scene on the head plate but hoping someone out there has.
I just don't know, Bronson, TT, OC hybrid or what. Any and all help appreciated.

Thanks
