This reel was part of a recent find. I am no Penn expert. Checked the Penn book and did not see any mention of this being a factory add-on, so I suspect that it was fabricated in someone's garage. Checking to see what our resident Penn experts think.

Yes, serious post factory modifications. Does reel still go into free spool if you pull out on the handle?

Yes, the free spool mechanism is working properly.Does reel still go into free spool if you pull out on the handle?

Its holding together a cracked tailplate. I can see the crack in several of the pictures
