John,

You have to log in and sort all items by final hammer prices. A viewer then has to separate out the reels since it mixes all items together.

Mike, do you realize you left out a reel sold in the Blanchards auction that was made by a Brooklyn reel maker who made reels for over 50 years. Do you know any other NY reel maker that made reels for anywhere near that long? William Slote was a major reel maker and all his reels were handmade like the famous Kentucky reel makers. Lets give this man his due. The reel was lot 0286 a hard rubber salmon reel that I happily bought for $750. Thanks, Bill Hoerter

Mike, on my prior post I just wanted you to know that I am not upset with you in not putting the Slote reel in your listing. As a matter of fact I am glad you left it off your list because it gave me a platform to hopefully help me to put Wm Slote in his right place in New York reel making history. Also I know I need to get off my duff and learn how to post pictures on this forum to share Slote's wares.

My bad, Bill. I’ll try to do better next time organizing and typing 50+ reels on my iPhone an hour or so after the auction closed. A hammer price of $750 puts it tied for 25th.

For the record, your Slote was not identified as such in Blanchard’s title listing. That’s why I didn’t include what they called an “Early Unmarked Salmon Reel” described as, “4 1/4” diam, 1 13/16” wide spool, possibly by Slote or Clark Bros, full length three-hole foot, strong twist click switch, VG+/Ex- condition.“

"organizing and typing 50+ reels on my iPhone an hour or so" .... Holy smokes, Mike! That's a ton of work. Thanks for posting that list and all the details. It's very helpful and all the couch potatoes.... er.... reel collectors out there are surely eating it up. :D

PS
If anyone has trouble uploading photos of a reel, attach them in an email to me and I’ll post them for you, just like John Elder did for me until I figured it out.
