Ocean City Reel Made for Abbey & Imbrie

Post by RonG »

The Abbey & Imbrie "Interocean" was made for them by Ocean City according to a big game reel expert Doug Whittington. He said the reel is identical to the Ocean City "Orlando" reel. It's a 6/0 size reel and is made of German silver. I had to buy a pin spanner wrench from Grainger to be able to remove the handle and end cap ring nuts. The reel is very similar to the LA Coxe reel according to drbaits. It's an interesting reel.

Did you notice any similarities to your Stead 9/0?
