A fine essay about the theme that there is more to fishing than catching fish. I used to fish Big Hunting Creek back in the 1980's. It was a tough stream with highly educated fish back then. I can only imagine what it can be like now. When the fish aren't biting, rather than giving up, it pays to double down and try harder to catch them. Doesn't always work, but it helps you get into the moment and connect with nature.
