WTB: Line Guide For Medalist Fly Reel
I need a line guide for a Pfleuger Medalist fly reel, 1492 1/2. This is the wider model of the 1492. Need the guide, the posts and the screws. Let me know what you have and price. Thanks.

Joe, is that the rectangular, square or round line guide for your model year? I suspect rectangular?

John, yes it is the rectangular guide. The reel measures 1 inch across, so the guide itself measures 1 inch by about 5/8 or slightly longer.
Thanks,
Joe

John,
Actually the line guide is square, not rectangular.

Joe, sorry, i have a couple standard width square guides but none for the wider model. I somehow ended up with a box for a 1492 1/2 one time, but have never had that reel!

OK, thanks John. If you ever run across some wider posts for the smaller guide you have, let me know.

Re: WTB: Line Guide For Medalist Fly Reel
Hey Guys, I was able to fashion a line guide out of a buckle from a watch strap. The regular post serves as the bottom of the guide, where the line will run across, and the buckle part serves as the top part of the guide. It actually looks pretty good. I will post a photo in a day or two.
