ORCAns Going to Lang's
Just curious who from the ORCA group is going to be Lang's auction. This will be my first time there.

On Wednesday
I'll be there Wednesday night, and I know Bill Holbein is coming up from N.C. too. I also heard from Tom and Jay from the Texas crew, and I plan on downing a few beers with them at some point during the show/auction. Henry Caldwell will be set up, and he'll have sign up sheets for the 2006 National, ORCA membership forms and the big ORCA banner hanging in front of his table.
See you in a few days Bill!
Ed, I have a few reels for you to look at too, so be sure to catch up w/ me there!

Yep
I'm hoping to make it for the discovery auction and the tackle show and auction on Saturday. Some of us working stiffs can't make it for the auction on Friday. See you folks there.

Bill,
I'll be heading there on Saturday morning. I live in Albany, New York area. Takes about 2 1/2- 3 hours drive. Last show of the year in this area until "The ORCA National". Always a very nice show. Plenty of toys to buy. Some years are better than others. All depends on your wants and tastes. Will be my 4th year in a roll. With paid admission you can enter in a raffle. Something to look forward to. Always came away with something to add to my addiction. Lang's allows pre-auction visitations to inspect the "goods". Everything set out nice and neat to check over. They are more than willing to let you hold the merchandise. Hope you have a safe trip up.

Excellent, looks like the usual suspects from the northeast will be there. And the Texans? Superb! I'm flying (frequent flyer tickets, the one and ONLY advantage to traveling a lot for work) into Manchester, NH Thursday morning, should be in Boxborough around 12:30 or 1 p.m., just in time to preview the discovery auction. I'll be around until early Sunday morning, so I'll be looking for entertainment options Saturday night if anybody will still be around.

Yes, Jay Herbert and I decided we needed a tackle fix; after all it has been nearly 6 months since the ORCA Convention, so we will be straggling in Thursday. Save some nice bamboo casting rods and approriate reels for us.
Any tips on getting from Logan Airport to Boxborough around 6 pm Thursday?
Looking forward to sharing some adult cold beverages with all of you.

Sounds like it's going to be loads of fun this weekend! I'd be watching you all bid live on ebay but I'll be headed off to some remote ranchlands, hopefully to tangle with some of the "toads" like I've got pictured in my avatar.
Hey, by the way Tom/Jay, what are the chances of having a regional show in Texas near all that nice bass water again some time?
(away from hurricane season would be nice, of course, but too bad redfish season is smack dab in the middle of it).
