Anyone get anything good at Blanchards Auction today?

Post by Mike N »

I bid on 8 items and won two… the Jack Welch tournament reel and a 1930’s North Carolina pinback hunting license. The 23% buyers premium stings a bit, but I like the two items I won.

Please post any other acquisitions.

Here’s one I really liked but didn’t win. Such a tough reel. With buyer’s premium and tax, it sold for north of $2500.

I didn't get anything super nice but I did get some good buys. I bought a B F Meek #3 reel with tournament handle and special thumb rest for a bid of $250. I also won a bid on a Horton #3 of $80 and a Heddon 3-35 for $70.
Collect mostly Ky style reels; Meek, Heddon, Horton, Pflueger Redifor and Worth, etc.

That Meek #3 is a good looking reel:
