Shakespeare 1941

Hi everyone I am looking for info on a Shakespeare model 1941 service reel model GK I have scoured the internet and have found very little info. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mark

Posting a few photos of your reel would help to lessen possible confusion.

Your Shakespeare Service Special is both No.1941 and Model GK (dated 1941).
The 1941 Shakespeare catalog lists Service reels No.’s 1939, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945, and 1946 with the No. 1939 being the least expensive of them.

Look closely on the reel foot for a tiny letter stamped in and that will tell when it was made. If none, it was made in 1941.
