Antique Tackle Observer Website Articles
As many of you know, I own the Antique Tackle Observer website. I have in the past been asked about the more than 100 articles that were in the magazine over the years. There were a few suggestions for a hard-copy book with the best articles, an ebook etc. However, I decided to put as many articles as I could on the website. Bob Brookes sold me his complete set. I had lost a few and started on the website.
It sounded great until I started. I had to design the website, watch hours of Youtube videos and eventually had it ready. Then the problem of the articles finding all the images, but at least I had a running order now I had the complete set.
I also had to spell-check the originals and make a few adjustments.
Well, I'm glad to say there are now ten articles, all free to read, with the latest Zephyr Floats added today.
Any comments or requests are welcome.

Thank you very much everyone. I have added two more articles Ed Zern & The Hardy Tobique Rivers Reel, and an auction report from 1999 of the Wyres Freres Display cases removed many years ago from their Paris showroom.

The Wyres Freres Display Cases from their Paris Shop are really incredible works of art, particularly the floats in #366 and the taxidermied trout in #370.

They are indeed spectacular on the day of the sale I was convinced that I would be coming home with the float case plus possibly another. I never even raised my hand to bidd.

Re: Antique Tackle Observer Website Articles
I enjoyed the Wyres Freres Display Cases auction article, but noticed you did not record the date of the auction, which may be important to future readers. I do think this is an important contribution to history, so just pointing out that dates of the posts and articles may be something to add.
The obvious question still remains, who was that man in NY that made the bulk of the purchases? Good stuff.

Re: Antique Tackle Observer Website Articles
I will add the sale date It was 1999, but I will check.
No idea who the guy was or what happened to the cases.
The one he did not get ended up with a British collector whose assets were seized by the British Government and sold at auction in a proceeds of crime auction.
