Why didn't they just turn on the garden hose and pass it around, like we used to do as kids?

Anyone ask why it takes 8 steps to purify water? Let's see: steps 1-6 - carry bucket from nearby well to still; step 7 - dump water into still; step 8 - heat still. What am I missing? :bash:

The bourbon craze has everyone here drinking limestone cave water in bottles. Hope it is guano free. https://www.courier-journal.com/story/l ... 370728007/

Richard, i do sometimes reminisce about that rubber taste that only water from a hose can provide :-)
