I would like to get some feedback from the group on the maker logo on this reel. Online research shows it is possibly a Daiwa Japan offering private labled. I have seen Sears Ted Williams models that look very similiar. But that "W" logo with waves underneath has me stumped. Any info would be appreciated, John
By the way, I have read the tutorial on picture upload, but no matter how I do it, the pictures will not show up - anyone have tips on that issue?

Possibly a Whittemore Scout 44?
They were sold by the Whittemore Corporation in Mass
Not sure who made it, though. Generally you have to do a lot of research and find something close in design from the time frame to compare it to to determine who might have actually manufactured it.

Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)
