Victor Baitcaster

Post by Fenndango »

Found this one at a tag sale when I was a little kid. I believe it was in the original box with paperwork but that's long gone.

I'll have to read about how to clean these. Works great.

Gotta say. One wouldn’t know it “works great” until it’s been thoroughly and properly cleaned and maintained. Also, focus the camera before snapping the pictures. Really can’t see much.

Thats pretty cool. Is this the same Victor company that makes mouse traps?

Open the thumbnails or it looks blurry. Everything is in focus.

Ah, yes! I see now. Was blurry on my phone the other night due to a lousy internet connection.

Very cool scroll work on that reel. Hope it cleans up well.

99% sure this is a Bronson trade reel. I have one in the box but the box does not carry a Bronson label. I also have a Kast Master in the same style box and it is definitely Bronson based on the pillared foot with the 38 date code on bottom which Bronson did on many of their reels. I can't access page 4 of the Bronson trade reels at this time for some reason but these reels are listed on the site.

I thought it smacked of Bronson too, but didn’t want to led anyone astray.

Putting the name of the reel model inside the rim is classic Bronson.
