I hear that a lot of the members got Covid at the convention

We did get a high percentage of members come down with Covid. The social events and the nice exhibition show hall provided an ideal means for transmission. But it seems that the Covid variant is fully alive and growing everywhere. A couple people that did not get it had received the new booster before the show, or in another case had a recent bout of the variant.

Now that you can order free tests again, anyone is wise to do so because it looks like it is very active. Fortunately for us all, the variant seems to be somewhat less harmful that previous ones, along with the new anti-virals Paxlovid and other therapies makes this round less scary than previous ones.
