. Hi friends, could use some advice. I found a rod I’ve never seen before, an Eagle claw “spincast worm rod”, in very good condition. I cannot find any information on when this was made, I’m guessing early 70’s but that’s a guess. If anyone knows I’d love to know. I’m planning on putting a period correct spincast on it. Any words would be greatly appreciated!
Eagle Claw offered their classic 88A spincast in a couple of different color combinations including one that should match the handle. I have a couple and can dig them out of the garage for photos when it warms up a bit. There was also a successor 88B, but I never cared as much for their appearance.

A Shakespeare Wondercast Deluxe would make a nice outfit. I think they came in a bronze color. I’ll look through my old catalogs for a model number.

Take a look at this one on ebay:
Item number 276121758783
Made in the mid-60’s USA. Nice brown and gold combo. I’m not sure if it is missing its compass points medallion or maybe it never had one, but seller is taking offers.
