It's been almost a year since we had major software upgrades to Reel Talk. We are updating php to v8.2 on Feb 14, and on Feb 18 we plan to update phpBB (the software the runs the actual message board) to 3.3.11. This should fix some issues if you use Safari on Reel Talk, which were caused by Safari changes. There are also a number of other changes and tweaks to produce a more stable and secure experience. We are also looking at updating the image uploader to automatically resize large images.
You may experience some limited downtime during those days, but hopefully nothing over 10 minutes.

The board upgrade is still in progress. We had to temporarily disable the image upload. I hope it will be working soon.
Let me know if you see any issues. Some style changes were made. I am reviewing them. The previous issues with Safari not showing the editor box correctly have mostly been resolved.
Stay tuned for updates.

We have the image upload completed. Many other small fixes. The custom multi-image upload feature is nice, but as a custom piece of code it continually has caused us problems with upgrades, but we have some talent devoted to it. I think the new message icons on the board are useful, but I am still trying to see if we can configure the titles to be bold. I don't have the vision I once did, and these icons are not as visible as I like. To some extent, we all have to live with the standard software updates for the board.
If anyone notices any issues, let me know.

Maybe a darker red? For us color blind in the red spectrum folks it's currently difficult to distinguish the red from the other.
Thanks for all your hard work.

I feel the same about the Red icons. I have to look for the little dark page block next to the icon.
I will see about what customization I can do, but sometimes the standard software is all that we have.

Actually, I don't mind the addition of the red icons, it lets a person know immediately that a new post has been made.
Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)
