Garcia 408DL

Post by Jemjr54 »

:) :) :) I am excited to be a new member!!!
I inherited the Mitchell Garcia 408DL attached from my Father
He purchased it new when they came out. It has never been used it’s been in its presentation box in a safe since “forever”
Mint condition
I contacted Pure Fishing to get a “idea” of the value and he shared with me this be the “site” (I attached his comments below)
I welcome any input on value and comments
Thank you !
Jim

Jim,

Awesome reel you got there! Unfortunately we do not offer monetary value on our older reels. I can however tell you that the reel is rare. I would recommend checking out this forum, which specializes in old reels and their current market values.

Nice collectible reel you have, Jim. :cool

Sorry to say that we don't give values of reels here. Like most collectible items it will be worth whatever price any willing buyer and willing seller agree to. The best advice I can give you would be to check out eBay's sold listings category to see if anything similar to your example has sold recently, and if so, what the sales prices were.
Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)

I found two examples of this model selling on eBay in the last three years. They were not as nice as yours and one did not include the box. A fixed price listing brought 399.99 and an auction (without the box) brought 436.00. Hope this helps! Pretty rare reel.
Wanted: Horton, Bristol & Meek reels, reel boxes, and catalogs!!!!
