I know it's a long shot, but....
I'm looking for a Kewart reel especially with the box. I'll take only the box if that is what you have. The reel was made in San Francisco around 1920. It has Kewart Blacks Metal written on it. Also looking for any Scott proto-type reel that Harry Wilson made. Please let me know if you have any of these two reels that you may be willing to part with. Thanks.

Re: San Francisco reels …..One that got away…..
Saw this and way too late I passed one Kewart stamped reel of about 3” dia a few years back thinking it was a Dingley. I had no Idea it was such a rare bird. I will hunt and back trail, just maybe there will be one out there. The reel was marked Kewart and I just thought it to be a trade reel. The Mark was no way as big as the one in the illustration it had a dark finish like a paint or oxidation.
