M & H Sporting Goods Branded Rod!

Post by Biggamereels1988 »

I’ve been looking for a nice rod to put my new Hermos reel on for display and I couldn’t have found a better one!!!! Upon searching countless hours, I could not find another like it. I checked Worthpoints eBay records going back to 2009 and nothing shows up.

This is in fact the Holy Grail for me. It does need some repairs though. I’m curious to know if anyone here will take on that task? I have the original guides but they are loose and need to be put back on in the same style and color.

Is that a twist locking reel foot ring/cap?
Maybe with an arrow pointing toward the tip?
If so, the rod is a Montague.

Oh yeah Montague for sure. I believe this was branded M&H for a kit they sold in 1920’s.
