Anybody interested in large vintage Mustad & Pflueger forged hooks? I was blessed with a fair number of 10/0 and/or 12/0 J style hooks from these makers that I presume are from the '50s. Most of the hooks are delicately stamped in the steel with the makers' names. The Mustad & Sons hooks are rolled flat along the hook & have forged eyes. Modern equivalents cost about $2 a shot! Style of Mustads is most like their C46-7698B in 10/0 or C46-3412C in 12/0. Good collectible large, extra strong hooks, or use for shark, tarpon, marlin, or tuna. I presume the Pflueger hooks are older, I have fewer of them & in slightly smaller sizes.
What have you got to trade? I used 1 to make a hand gaf by fitting & wrapping to an old solid fiber glass rod. Mustads say made in Norway, from a time when they made all their hooks in Norway.
