Stub-caster Rod

Just picked up this Stub-caster rod. Never seen one of these before. Did a little digging and found the similar Emmrod and Glasscaster rods. Anyone have any experience with these? They look fun. Also, curious if the rod ends are replaceable. Looks like it should unscrew but it's tight and I don't want to break something. Take a look.

John,
Do you know if the spring end should detach from the handle? Was wondering if it could be swapped with an Emmrod coil end from time-to -time.

It’s just a compression fit… just wriggle and pull on the rod and it will come out of the handle:
