This is a 1951 25N. In 1951 the nickel silver 25’s were being phased out and the Coronets were introduced. This reel has an aluminum frame like the Coronets but the tail-plate has the JA Coxe imprint, not Coronet. The cork spool arbor was only produced one year. I assume this is a transition “use up the old parts” reel. I don’t know how many were produced this way, but it is the only one Ihave come across.
All functions work as designed. The leather case is also included.
